The Launch Of The Vision 2030 Publication Is Just Around The Corner
The Vision 2030 Summit held in June this year was a monumental success and brought together some of South Africa’s most established private and public sector representatives.
“The development of our continent rests in our own hands … governments can set strategic directions but it is the people who will direct the economic fortunes of Africa,” stated Honourable Minister in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe, as a key emphasis in his keynote speech at the Vision 2030 Summit.
Members of the Presidency, key government dignitaries, founding members of the National Planning Commission and leaders from the private sector convened at Emperors Palace to share insights and engage in discussions regarding the vision for the National Development Plan. The purpose of the event was to unpack key aspects around Vision 2030 and how all of South Africa can contribute in making it a reality.
Five years ago, the founding National Planning Commissioners, under the leadership of former Minister in the Presidency, Trevor Manuel began work on formulating the plan to “build a state that will grow the economy, reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of our citizens.”
Brought to you by Topco Media and endorsed by the National Planning Commission Secretariat in the Department of the Presidency, the Vision 2030 book examines, outlines and unpacks the NDP from both private and public sector perspectives. Exclusive interviews with National Ministers and articles written by founding Commissioners will provide detailed insight into the Plan of South Africa’s future.
